here is the front of the Antique Arms show flyer. They are promoting the Japanese Sword section and there are some great pictures from last year. They want to grow the Japanese section so 2024 should

Any dealers with an extra table pass? Just asking, because $80 for 2 days for myself and Nix is a big bite of my budget. Either way, we'll be there though. Looking forward to seeing some of you for the first time, and many of you for the second. Going to be amazing.

Roger Robertshaw and I chatted last night. He asked if I would split a table with him...again. I can't say no to this guy! He and I will square-up on the table once I arrive on Friday. I just need to arrange a pass for the wife and myself for Friday and Saturday.

Myself and Nicky will be there Friday and Saturday. Going to be amazing.
Guys...if you have a chance to go, you HAVE TO. Mark has put in a ton of effort, and combined with the arms show, it will be fantastic. Come and meet us, introduce yourself and we'll make a plan for a dinner. No excuses! If you have any chance at all of going, make a plan!
Will be nice to see Roger again too. Been a long time.

Still very tempted. It has been a while since I've taken a trip to Vegas.

My attendance aside, I hope ya'll have a great time and see some awesome items! Please share photos once ya'll are home and settled

I mentioned going out for dinner on Friday night, and Roger was all for it. I think @Mark is willing to join as well.

Sam, what do you have to lose? And how often do you get to check out a massive and impressive antique gun show, knife show AND Nihonto show at the same time? Make a plan.

I've convinced a friend to attend with me for the antique gun aspect. He's got an affinity for old Colt Single Action Army revolvers and I'm going for the Nihonto mainly and also to look at the old guns. We'll be 2 of the young guys there

The room in the back is HUGE and wall to wall guns, edged weapons and more.

@Brian @Mark I chatted with Mdiddy. He and Eric are willing to join us for dinner on Friday night. Roger and his wife want to come as well. As I posted before, I recommend the Benihana inside the resort. Uber gets expensive going out to other locations, especially with our group of 10+ people.

Let's confirm Friday night dinner for whoever wants to join us. We're in. Mid Jan, we can see how many people and do a reservation. Venue is fine, but we can take suggestions up to then. I'm good as long as the place has a decent sushi variety :-)
If we have to Uber, we can share rides and split the fare, won't be much. But we'll work it out. Anyone who wants to join, let's confirm here.

Far as I know Mark & I are in. Mark will have a car that can hold 5 or 6 in a pinch. Even if we need an Uber, split 9 or 10 ways it isn't much. There are good restaurants in the neighborhood that will certainly cost less than the chain Benihana in the hotel. We can do better.

Will leave it up to the guys who know to find us a nice sushi place that won't break the bank but has a decent variety. No rush, and I am sure we can all get there easily with the car and maybe one Uber.
10 So far, 3 of them ladies so they will have a nice time too.

Mark S. & Michelle S. (wifey) are in.  Will have to figure out something for Michelle S. to eat as sushi is a no go… but she is a good sport and will find something. :)

If you don't mind a newbie to join, I'll be there and would love to come

 

Sushi Samba is a good restaurant that I've always enjoyed in the Venetian. If you buy the A5 wagyu, it gets very expensive, but if you just stick with rolls, its a good sushi restaurant.

the show is getting close....... i understand the hotel is about full.  This year they is another room, Morphy's bought another show and are putting it together with the existing one so bigger than last year.

 

Last time i had people request tables at the last minute. I can usually work it out but it makes it more stressful  so if anyone is thinking of coming lat me know and get a room right away
