SwordGuyJoe Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 There is an Emura on eBay and I was wondering your opinion. At first when viewing the blade itself, it looks pretty close. Then the mei threw me. Definitely not the "traditional" Emura mei, but after some research, it seems possible. What is your opinion? http://cgi.ebay.com/Signed-Antique-WW2- ... 286.c0.m14 Quote
Rich S Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 There is another Emura on ebay. Don't recall the item number, but the seller is "nihontophile". I know this sword and it's 100% legit. I'm not the seller. Rich S Quote
SwordGuyJoe Posted August 31, 2009 Author Report Posted August 31, 2009 Rich, I saw that one too. This is more to satisfy my curiosity if I happen to come across one at the MAX Show in October. Quote
Rich S Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Took me a while to find it, but here's the direct ebay link to the Emura I mentioned above. http://cgi.ebay.com/Japanese-Sword-Emur ... 0402310232 BTW, I do know the seller and you can rely on his descriptions and honest dealing. omidaijo Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 Hi Guys, Nihontophile was Ron Polansky from Texas,USA. His website was http://www.nihontophile.com but it is no longer available. He sometimes sold pieces to up his collection, then started selling for others with Pat O'Toole ? I have bought items from him before and yes he is trustworthy Not sure if this is the same person now, so caveat emptor. PS The Omi Daijo Tadahiro that was being discussed a month back is gimei. 100%. Cheers, Roger Quote
