Jean Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 Here is another one for artistic analysis, even school if possible, very very educative post on the Kodogu section lately with Ford comments : In fact the base is more greyish than the picture and the moon is silverish. One comment : How come both scan and camera pictures give a brown background even to the moon compare to the colour I can perceive with my eyes? Quote

One comment : How come both scan and camera pictures give a brown background even to the moon compare to the colour I can perceive with my eyes? Could I be bold enough to say this has a "modern" look?? Perhaps early 20th century??? No analysis here, no books, just a certain "look" about it compared to my "memory bank average" of many years... On the colour difference observed. Discussion here has talked about the complexities of colour calibration in monitors and digital photography. I can only think of white balance vis-a-vis light source???? Best regards, Barry Thomas (Melbourne, Australia) Quote
Ford Hallam Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Just a very quick response from me...not modern, imo. materials are intriguing and the actual design is accomplished.....more later. I'm cooking and my glass is nearly empty too...gotta go Quote
nagamaki - Franco Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 even school if possible Simple but effective presentation, carving and use of materials 'reminds' me of later Edo Toryusai "school work". Quote
