Hello everyone,

As I am a complete newbie in world of Japanese sword, I would kindly like to ask for some information on the sword in attached pictures.

All I could decipher is SHOWA marking

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much

Hello:

I'm not one of the translators so take with a grain of salt but I think it reads Ando Kanemoto saku kore.

WW2 smith. Looks like some civilian fittings have been added.

Thank you John for your answer. I hope, more forum members would add their opinions.

Best wishes,

Simon
