Thoughts on this Tanto

just wondering what people think of this Tanto it’s 27cm pictures included.

Looks like someone shortned the wrong end. 
I can’t see much in the pictures but I think it could be a shortned showato. 
When it is small enough it don’t need to be registered and only Art swords are allowed to be registered.
Showato are Not traditional made Katana from WW2 and only traditional Nihonto are Art swords.

Yeah. That's not a tanto. It's a piece of a sword. At best. At worst, a Chinese fake. The shape is far too awkward to be a tanto and shinogi zukuro tanto are generally problematic anyways. Sorry.

When I actually got this in my hand it was really really bad…total Chinese special….I was at least hoping for it to be the end of a blade so I could admire a nice kissaki. Disappointing but no loss other than time.
