What's wrong with this tsuka?

I thought this was interesting. The pic is a still shot from one of Samurai Monkey's videos. In this one, he is explaining the difference between a type 94 and type 98 gunto.  

See anything wrong with the tsuka?

It's easy, of course. But how many folks are viewing that and thinking that is the way it is supposed to look?

It's amazing is that it has several more and has crazy prices for some. On the examples you give there are indications of fakes, it almost looks like acid oxidation or several acids.

 

Me now with all that you show in false it is either at auction and by showing asking advice, to a very competent person that I know in France or on the forum, it is quite scary to see everything that can be sold , I'm getting suspicious, while we're at it, have you seen fake Hozon, NBTHK at the same time?

Even worse than usual. I don't think this seller understands that kamikaze pilots were supposed to commit suicide by crashing the plane into high value targets, not by tanto cuts to the abdomen.
