Toukenan Posted May 12, 2023 Report Posted May 12, 2023 Kiyomitsu The founder of the school was active in Kaga Province in the late Muromachi period. As a sword school, it belongs to the Fujishima school, which was also active in Kaga Province, and it is said that Tomoshige Fujishima, the founder of this school, studied under Rai Kunitoshi in Yamashiro Province. In other words, Kiyomitsu is also of the Rai school, but you can't really get a sense of the Rai style from Kiyomitsu's style. This is probably due to the adoption of Mino-den, which was popular at the time. Judging from the position of the inscription, this work is classified as a Katana, but judging from the way it is curved, it can be seen as a Tachi. In addition, the shape is Hirazukuri, which is a bit unusual. The Jihada is Ōhada like an Kotō, and it is a work with many highlights. Please enjoy watching!
