Sweet little tsuba

Hi all,

Yesterday I have bought this sweet little tsuba. I'm very pleased with it and like to share my excitement with you. The details are very well executed. Does anybody know the meaning of the sword in the river. Please feel free to comment.

Regards, Ed

A closer image to the one on your tsuba here.

Nitta Yoshisada Throwing Sword into the Sea (Inamura ga Saki ni Yoshisada wadatsumi e hakase sasage tamô), from the series Chronicles of Kamakura (Kamakura shi), with poems by Tawara Mitsumori and Chobotei no Kojin, Edo period, circa 1813

Very nice tsuba by the way.
