 I got this sword from my Dad  who was stationed in occupied Japan . Any info helps. Someone told me it was an ancient sword made by Kanetsune in the Mino  province...

Hi John,

Congratulations on being the owner of a Japanese sword. I think you'll get some better information if you are able to post photographs of the actual blade and provide its dimensions but, on the face of it, it does look like an old blade and the kanji used for "Kane" is the one normally used by smiths in Mino province.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one, unless your post is really relevant and adds to the topic..
