Hello all

 

My understanding of ato mei is that it is a sig. added later.

This by an appraiser. It usually is made up of small kanji and is

the name only. I owned one once which read Kanemitsu. I had it

removed and sub. to the NBHTK. It papered hozon to a Kagemitsu.

Have another one and it appears to read Shi Hyo Kuni or Kei.

So I must have it wrong. It is a nice piece in need of a polish.

Also hoping I did the attach. right.

Looks like I did not, tried to cut and paste, paste did not work.

This was item 230361908928 on ebay.

This is not to est. value for sale purposes.

I now think these are factory stamps ie. military supply but have not seen before.

These kanji read: Heisho or armory, per Harry Watson.

[Nobody]

Those kanji on the nakago read Zoheisho (造兵廠), which means an armory.

There could be more kanji before 造兵廠, though I cannot see them clearly.
