Type 95 NCO question

Hello everyone,

Can anyone tell me what the date of manufacture is on this Type 95 from the serial number? Its a nice Type 95 made by Tokyo First with a unstamped iron fuchi. The serial number is 125028.

No, not based upon configuration but by the serial number range.  In answer to Paul's question, the year of manufacture would be 1942.

Those over 200,000 are the rarer range, Thomas.

Just working from memory, here, but don't I recall seeing plenty of numbers in the 130's, 140's, even 150's?  Why is this 125 rare?

Because Mizuno was known to make swords in this range.

Has anyone come across this Stamp before??
