Pippo Posted March 28, 2023 Report Posted March 28, 2023 New purchase from Australian Auction house, thought the blade was stainless ( which i know alot hate but i dont mind) but its just been biluffed to hell! Signed tang and all fitting roman numbered, nlade actially has remnants of nice wavy hamon just visible through the bright polish, god know who gave it such a buffing but they really went to town. 1 Quote

I have had them like that and always wondered what kind of magic buffing wheel it took because showato steel is really hard, ask a polisher who has attempted a restoration on one. But, that kind of buffing can be replaced by a fresh polish, I've seen it firsthand. 1 1 Quote
