Chojugiga Posted March 18, 2023 Report Posted March 18, 2023 Hello, all. I've recently purchased a tanto that is missing kogai and kogatana, but has holes for both. Is there a science (or art) to replacing them? (Is it poor form to go to a sword show and see if any fit? Presuming dealer permission, of course.) Thank you in advance for any advice! Quote
David Flynn Posted March 18, 2023 Report Posted March 18, 2023 Ideally, a set to match the Fuchi/kashira or the Tsuba would be optimal. However, this might be too hard to aquire. Ebay is still OK for Tosugu. A nice matching set would be ok. 1 Quote

You’ll find many dealers willing to help you. But do understand that these hunts require patience. They can be fun but frustrating as well. 2 Quote
