Someone treat that sword very bad.

Bring it to a good polisher.

the kissaki and yokote make me think i could grate carrots on it

Firstly, get a guarantee that it would paper. Refund if it doesn't. There's an awful lot of hype in that description. Looks like a good sword that needs a better polish.

The description is a red flag, was it written by a 12 year old?

The seller would accept 3800

But if it needs a polish that’s at least another 2000 maybe more! Now it’s 5800

I will take it as a thumbs down !

You've made a very good call there. That is a really nasty polish.

I must admit I love the artistic, flowing style of the smith's signature but, as I was admiring it just now, I realised that somebody has actually scrubbed up the nakago all around the mei!
