Davy Huygen Posted February 7, 2023 Report Posted February 7, 2023 Hi Sad news, Mr. Christophe Siliacus from the Netherlands passed away last Sunday. Recently i noticed some of his messages on this board. He just finished polish work on a tanto for me. Only knew him for a couple of weeks... May he rest in peace. Kind regards Davy Huygen 2 Quote

Keiji Posted February 8, 2023 Report Posted February 8, 2023 Another sad loss for our community, I met him during a conference at the Japanese Art Museum in Venice and met again during the last edition of the expo in Utrecht. He was a really nice person, humble and sought respect for the tradition of Japanese sword art. 1 Quote
shingen Posted February 11, 2023 Report Posted February 11, 2023 He will be missed. Me and a friend talked with him last November at the Dutch Token Society meeting. A bit unreal it went so fast. He polished my first sword years ago and I had a chance to see him work. A sad loss it is. Quote
