Hi Gents!

Out of curiosity does any one have any information about Showa blades with

a W stamp on the nakago?

I have only seen a picture of the W stamp in modern Japanese swords and swordsmiths by

Leon and Hiroko Kapp.

IN Slough's book, he states on the Mantetsu blade pages, that the

"W" stamp was on blades made by Takehisa and Haruhisa. Also found

on Namban pistol magazines made in Nagoya.

I think Rich means "Nambu" magazines, though a Namban pistol magazine would be quite interesting! It would let in too much mud and sand, but I doubt that would affect the accuracy of the Nambu anyways.

As someone who owns a Type 14, Type 94 and Baby Nambu, I take exception to that typo. :glee: :rotfl:

Nothing foreign about those nasty but interesting designs :)
