Translation required please

I have this blade, any information or able to translate the characters would be greatly appreciated thank you.

明治二七年十二月日 = on a day in December of Meiji 27 (1894 CE)

 

大阪住月山貞一精鍊之 = Gassan Sadakazu, resident of Osaka, smelted this

[ROKUJURO]

Looks as if he had a very bad day when he made this....

You're right overall but Not Gassan Sadakazu's swordsmaking days, that is for sure!

What the others that see swords like this everyday, I think unlike you Carl, want to say is that this blade is most likely Gimei. 
That means that the Signature is not from Gassan Sadakazu. 
That does not mean the blade is not a Nihonto, forgeries like this where done  for centurys. 
The reason that people say this is Gimei is because Gassan Sadakazu is a high valued smith with a very nicely finished Nakago and Signature.

Could you share some more pictures like a full picture of the whole blade without mounts and Habaki.

Maybe it is still a nice sword.
