Your opinion please, normally I thought of tsuba with design in seppadai as art objects rather than functional. 

Being it has sekigane (yes I forgot how to spell it) 

Do we think made for use?

When the work on it isn't raised, I have no problem with agreeing it was used. In this case it was clearly used.
I'm really loving that top tsuba with the waterfalls.

Stephen that tsuba has a distinct seppa 'shadow' so it was mounted for a considerable time span - it was very much used. [a lovely piece by the way]:thumbsup:
