Double Edged Katana at Aoi-Art

I have seen double-edged katana in comic books, but I have never seen an actual double-edged blade until I looked at Aoi-Art's website today. It's a beautiful sword. It was made by Tsuda Oumi Daijo Sukenao.

You see many in the Kogarasasumaru Sugata used as presentation or ceremonial gifts. It is a bit special to see one with this shape.

The original Kogarasu-Maru doesn’t have the Yokote line but I think the name fits better with Yokote.

 

Edit: But it is just a big Moroha-Zukuri without the blunt part ?

Hahaha!  Yeah, on that note it reminds me of Kylo Ren's lightsaber.  It looks awesome but very very dangerous for the user.  Ya know, in the Star Wars universe... Sorry to jump to fiction. @Brian feel free to take the picture down.  Don't know if Disney hangs out on NMB waiting to sue.
