Found this guard in the British Museum

Don’t know what to say about that Dale!! I’m so glad that the British Museum think it’s a good idea to spend their (our) money actually buying such things😳😡

A tansu i made to keep my tsuba in order, the tsuba-shaped plates roughly depict what's inside each drawer

Manuel, the tansu is spectacular. I take it you made the tsuba-shaped plates as well. I'm so impressed. I do woodworking, including restoring vintage guitars, but metal work is something completely new.

OK I give up - what was this made for? Not authentic tsuba but modelled on the gourd/catfish pattern image.thumb.png.33286775141c1d893b501a42ea1ed309.png

Tuning fork, place card holder, menu holder? Strange - and I do like strange :)
