AlexSUK Posted December 28, 2022 Report Posted December 28, 2022 Hi all, Following on my from post regarding signature identification (thanks Ray, et al), I mentioned a very "rubbed / worn" tsuba on a Wakizashi which I came across whilst looking at a Jian. Clearly the Tsuba is not in the best condition, but I was interested in your thoughts. Does it have genuine age and if so, any guesses, or is the Tsuba more recent and has simply had a poor life? I can post a few additional pictures of the blade if it will help the identification process, though it's not in great condition. Original signature post is below. Many thanks in advance for your time, Alex Quote
ROKUJURO Posted December 28, 2022 Report Posted December 28, 2022 Alex, You will probably get better help in the TOSOGU section. The TSUBA is not related to the blade, and it is probably a very late cast copy in bad condition. 1 Quote
