Bridges Posted December 22, 2022 Report Posted December 22, 2022 I couldn’t find a category for this question to go into so here I am. If I get clarification I’ll move this question accordingly to the appropriate forum. So there is a seller on eBay called stcroixblades who currently has two “signed” blades. These blades are a type 19 with an inscription of the owner’s name on the backstrap and a police type short sword with an inscription of the assumed owner on the hilt. This is extremely uncommon on fleebay or anywhere else on the internet and this individual has multiple militaria and nihonto types that are supposedly signed or have mons inscribed. Has anyone done business with this seller? He is a little on the high side but I wanted to see if anyone has experience with him before I entertain buying one of these blades as he is clearly a dealer but has several uncommon types. Quote
Bruce Pennington Posted December 22, 2022 Report Posted December 22, 2022 He is a member of NMB and is a trustworthy seller. As always judge the blade though! That would be true of any seller. 2 1 Quote
Seth Posted December 22, 2022 Report Posted December 22, 2022 Hey Noah, if you check the dealer showcase section you will see some of the online dealers that are on the board. In my opinion, respected dealers are always preferable to eBay and that becomes even more so with less experience (this includes me). You will be much less likely to get burned or an item that you aren't truly happy with. 1 Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted December 25, 2022 Report Posted December 25, 2022 Best to use the forum search feature for any sellers, Matt is easy to deal with and my experiences have always been positive. 2 Quote
Mark Posted December 25, 2022 Report Posted December 25, 2022 Matt is a dealer here on NMB https://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/?forumId=88%2C127 Best buy from him directly not through eBay. I have known him for 10-20 years, he is totally reliable 1 1 Quote
