I can see Collectors absolutely going for these. If they are indeed considered "island made" or "emergeny" whatever from back in the day. Especially if they are at a lower price point as mentioned previously.  Last Ditch Arisakas and bayonets used to be considered trash but not anymore from what I can tell. 

 

I take it there is no active research or reference books on these types of swords hence the hot debate?
