Info on this beautiful Wakizashi sword

Hello all,

 

I came across this sword for sale. The owner isn’t a sword collector and is requesting any information this forum can give. The seller sent me these pics and I told him I would l would post it. Looking at this sword, it appears to have higher end fittings? Apparently, the sword was bought/sold in the Philippines. 

 

I will forward this link lto the seller in case anybody is interested. I’m listing it because the seller isn’t computer savvy (Neither am I).

Before the last two posts here on this sword, I received an email from someone trying to sell it. I was told it was taken on trade for a truck. Not saying that isn't true, just sharing what I was told.

Interesting... I think the owner has this sword widely advertised. Thanks for letting me know....

Low end fittings , give it a miss . It is about two steps above junk level.

One poor blade and a poor koshirae, that's all; but two threads to discuss them.

 

Fuchi and kashira are typical for cheap Showa-To work.

Tsuka-Maki was done even later by a bloody amateur.

Hectic activities all over the place though.

 

Relax and try to focus on essentials.

 

NMB is too good to be a simple platform for quick trades and free translation.
