Brano, those pictures are gorgeous. You really nailed it

It's not very difficult
It takes a lot of patience and not giving up at the beginning :)

Brano,

What mm macro lense do you use? 24mm?

You need to use a macro lens (with a minimal focus distance which is key), mine is a 100mm. You can also use tubes like these ones to boost the magnification factor.

I use Sigma Macro 180mm
I also tried with the Sigma Macro 100mm, but 180 is simply better

Love that Chogi! The other one - Taema?

Who knows? - Haha

Tokubetsu Hozon were Taema

In front of Juyo, Dr.Homma was asked for sayagaki
According to Dr. Homma - if he were to judge only sugata and hamon, it would be Taema
But for extensive ji-nie and chikei, his result on Sayagaki was Soshu Yukimitsu

NBTHK stated in the setsumei "Soshu joko no saku" which basically says that they don't agree with Yukimitsu's attribute... a high level Soshu craftsman made this

Therefore, the blade passed Juyo Den Yukimitsu
So - you can choose

Well my thoughts were exactly those -  either Taema or Yukimitsu but there was a bit too much masame and some nagare in the hada for Yukimitsu so I ended up with Taema. But can see how it could be Yukimitsu due to the amount and clustering of nie. Of course, judging from one or two snapshots, even if they are as good as yours :) is fraught with risks

Thanks for these. You have indeed become very good at taking sword photos.
