Does anyone know if the dates for Dai Token Ichi 2023 have been announced? If not, when is this usually announced?

Typically the first weekend in November - delayed this year because of covid. Announcement should come in the Spring but these days who know?

I hope the first weekend in November.

Closer to USA Thanksgiving is a problem for some of us, or at least me.

Hi,

on Nihonto.com it is announced that the DTI 2023 will be on 17. - 19.11.2023.

Is this confirmed?

(I'd hoped it would be one or two weeks earlier...)

Fyi this year's DTI will only be on Saturday and Sunday not on Friday as in prior years so only the 18th and 19th.

Here is a link to the PDF version of the 2023 DTI catalogue. The link was provided by Robert Hugues on his Facebook group. Look and enjoy. I am still in the process of looking through it in detail. My favorite \so far is the iron suakshi tsuba by Hayashi Matashichi (林又七) on page 95. :glee:

I attended and had a wonderful time! My wife enjoyed her visit to the show as well on Saturday afternoon. On Saturday focused on studying Japanese sword fittings (purchased a few) and on Sunday when it was less crowed, I focused on sword study. It was my first DTI and will not be my last. I would like to specifically thank Robert Hughes of Keichodo Fine Samurai Art for all the afterhours events before and during this year's DTI. :glee:

I was there on Saturday. it was good to be back after 3 years. you meet so many friends that it is impossible to speak to everyone. this community has a lot of interesting people, and everyone knows nmb. Thanks Brian!

Just returned home after a month in Japan, including the DTI. Attempted to post some photos over the weekend, but for whatever reason I could not log on while in Japan. I will post some photos in a day or two. I was able to post a few on FB, in any of you follow those groups.
