Awa Shoami I guess....

Hi estimated members,

 

I tried  and failed in having a NTHK certificate translation for this tsuba  under the translation assistance threads and try again.

 

I guess this tsuba is from Awa Shoami but can someone confirm that the NTHK has the same views?

Hi Bruno - there is no attribution on this sheet. It just says "mumei". Under the description it says

牡丹唐草獅子文図金布目象嵌

Design of peony, arabesques, Shi-shi lions in kin-nunome zōgan.

 

Then it says

江戸時代後期

Late Edo

Thank you very much Steve. I am quite desapointed to consider that someone a spent money to get a certificate describing what is obvious to everyone.

Do you have a picture of the other side of the certificate? I would believe NTHK would have the attribution on that side.
