James Slawinski Posted November 3, 2022 Report Posted November 3, 2022 Back 10 years ago Bob Grant talked me out of two swords I had that i bought from the same man, bob kept one and sold the other to a collector. After i sold them he said that the sword might be a Masamune sword. I was lied to and swindled The sword was long and light as a feather. it was in a wood holder i was told to store. I am still looking for the paper i traced the writing on the tang. this i beleive is the sword everyone is looking for. I live and michigan and i can direct someone to the person who has it . Thank You Quote
NewB Posted November 3, 2022 Report Posted November 3, 2022 That'd be a million dollar + find. I definitely want to go see it! J. Quote
Ray Singer Posted November 3, 2022 Report Posted November 3, 2022 If you are referring to the sword being the Honjo Masamune, please share photos of the oshigata when you find it. 1 Quote
Xander Chia Posted November 5, 2022 Report Posted November 5, 2022 If I’m not wrong the honjo masamune is a mumei blade? If that is the case and the sword you’re thinking of has a mei then unfortunately I think it is probably not the one. Still interested to know more though, hope you find the tracing soon! Quote
Utopianarian Posted November 5, 2022 Report Posted November 5, 2022 I have a reputation for being a dreamer which I am. I have a signed Nobufusa blade I recently came across as well that seems very convincing but I already know the responses I will receive posting it so I figure I will save myself and others time on this one. There are other Masamune blades out there signed but the odds are not likely to be the same Masamune Ray is referring to which that specific blade is not signed. Many Fakes out there as well. Btw Powerball today is 1.6 Billion. I think one might have a better chance hitting jackpot than finding the Honjo Masamune 1 2 Quote
