Gentlemen,

I bought this TSUBA recently, but I don't know what the design is called. Is it "four bars and melting snow" or something different?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Thank you Mauro!

Is there a meaning (other than 'sandy beach') in that term or can it be translated? I think HAMA means 'harbour'.

Thank you in advance!

The photo is the best I could do. Good one Mauro!

That little book is getting hard to find - wonder why it is hard to get if the publisher is "Print on Demand"? Lots of sites say "out of stock."

one here? : -  https://www.waterstones.com/book/handbook/markus-sesko/9783842364226   published in 2011

I am not sure if the same material is included in the 2014 book? :- https://www.amazon.com/Encyclopedia-Japanese-Swords-Markus-Sesko/dp/131256315X

You could try here but I don't see "Handbook" listed?  https://markussesko.com/books/

@SpartancrestHey, thank you very much!  I purchased the ‘encyclopedia’ as well as the ‘legends’ book that looks super interesting also. I’ll let you know if the encyclopedia contains the ‘handbook’ within. If not, I’ll just refer back to your top link!
