Jon MB
Hi, just to add something here, I am the seller. Steve negotiated a reduction of price and made the purchase. He then came here to ask questions, post purchase. Steve then asked to cancel after a 24 hr delay. I have now indeed cancelled his order. If it seems like strange behaviour, I would add Steve has done this to me before. He previously placed an order for a sword, asked to cancel, I was then somewhat backfooted and had to relist cheaper, and then Steve bought the same piece again. Some issues with this person. As to the piece in question, it is very nice in hand, only issue other than the signature is the nagasa was a bit crudely shortened, hidden by the habaki. Item relisted. 2
Swords
Accusing people with out having the facts are wrong! The sword that was posted technically was the wrong description meaning Gimei ! I told this seller their were very knowledgeable people on the forum who said it was a Gimei !! Had I known it wasn’t the actual smith I would never bought it? I thought I was doing him a favor by bringing this to his attention ! Misrepresentation The proof is in the pudding
Brian
The gimei part was kinda obvious. Like really obvious. A mainline Hizen smith would have been 5 times that price. You'll do well to work on the premise that all swords without papers....assume gimei unless wartime made. 1
David Flynn
Brian, even wartime smiths have Gimei blades. There is enough material on the Web now, to check most blades. Sure, there is not a plethora of Oshigata, but basic oshigata, history and prices are there. One just has to Google. eg. Tadayoshi.

Just glad I got good feedback A lesson to be learned I did not hit the buy button so I didn’t actually purchase it I don’t think this issue needed hav been brought on the forum
David Flynn
Disagree Steve, I believe he had a perfect right to post about the transaction here. I think it's called, "Dicking people around". 4

What you did not do is pay. 2
