I read about another sword that is a kanbun and it’s not as curved Anyway Provided it’s a kanbun sword I was thinking of getting it polished than I would hav 2100 into it but would a be beautiful Sword

My next question is it worth 2100 after polish?

Impossible to say. Can’t really tell how good it is anyway from these images. It’s mumei, suriage and a rather awkward sugata…..possibly not the most desirable item. More important is to realise that a polish can uncover all sorts of flaws…blisters etc…..so it’s a bit of a gamble. Eyes wide open and fingers crossed if you go for it.

Good luck if you do!

Hey Swords,

Sorry but I have to ask this. For the past month you've been asking about swords on this message board. You keep posting swords from ebay and asking our opinion or asking for translation etc..You are looking for a sword in "excellent condition" for 2-3k, yet you keep posting out of polish swords from ebay..asking opinions..and then you say you are not looking for this one, you are looking for a navy "not stainless" gendaito. If so, why are you wasting others time? Something really doesn't make sense here..

Also a lot of people here advised you to get some books first and learn...Then you said you've been dealing swords for 7 years..

Are you ok?

I think you would make a good private investigator since you think you have me all figured out

I thought this was about assistance and discussion???

I was asked what I was looking for

If I had a choice I would pick Navy Dosnt mean I don’t have other interest so I leave my options open Collecting and discussing Japanese swords is my passion and helps me cope in this crazy world

Yes I probably hav abused the forum too much lately so I’ll read some more books

I agree it’s a good learning experience for everyone If someone doesn’t like it than keep their opinions to themselves!!
