Hi Sascha,

Hard to tell you very much from what you've posted. Do you have any more pictures and the dimensions - length, width thickness of blade and curvature?

 

From what I can see, it looks like a real Japanese sword and I'd suggest it's an Edo period wakizashi with a decent scabbard and a basic tsuba. If you can post some more pictures, a full length shot of the blade with the habaki and other furniture off and some close ups of the tip, hamon and activity in the blade you'll get a better view. I take it that there's no signature on the other side of the tang?
