Well, badly (unaesthetically) shaped kissaki does not mean always Chinese fake.

And even more so since I thought most stain-resistant Takayama-to were not classified as Nihonto and weren't traditionally made.

Uughh!...both ends are dreadful. The nakagojiri has the same artistic exhuberance as the kissaki. Well...the koshirae is nice.

I fully agree. I looked at this in an attempt to get the " taste" of the warped kissaki out.

I aspire to owning a sword like the one in the link.
