Nagasa: 46,7 cm Nakago: 13,6 cm (O-suriage) Moto-haba: 26,4 mm Moto-kasane: 5,3 mm Sori: 1,1 cm Mokume and Masame Hada. Suguha hamon with sunagashi in nioi and ko nie, nijuba. Yamato-den. Senjuin? Price: 1500€ + shipping 1 1 Quote
PietroParis Posted October 3, 2022 Report Posted October 3, 2022 The notch on the mune looks like a kirikomi (cutting mark) i.e. the mark left by the impact of another blade. As far as I understand, it is generally considered a plus rather than a defect. https://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/topic/20392-does-kirikomi-add-to-or-detract-from-a-swords-value/ Quote
Itomagoi Posted October 3, 2022 Author Report Posted October 3, 2022 Yes, it is a cutting mark when another sword is blocked -> kirikomi I don't know if it is an advantage. Maybe because it has a history and it was used in a fight and saved someone's life :-) But in my eyes it is a damage. 2 Quote
