Signed Katana can someone translate?

It is supposedly from ww2 but don’t  know much about it.  I’ll appreciate the person who can verify this.

I would think the signature is - 陸奥大掾三善長道 - Mutsu no Daijō Miyoshi Nagamichi

Might have been brought home from the war, but that's not a WWII sword.  Much older.  Still could have been used during the war, of course.  Better pics of the saya (scabbard) might help, but it looks like a civil one, maybe wrapped like that to protect it?

Mei seems legit, this sword deserves to be shown to real experts (probably the hardest to find outside of Japan).
