Hi! I was just wondering if anyone could help me find out when this katana is from? My brother got it from an old one of his bosses and I’m just looking to get some background history on it. I’m not sure what period it’s from and all I know is that it was made in Japan because it says it on the blade. Hello, 

 

Not wanting to sound snobby or anything,  but this site is for traditional forged blades.

 

Might of been better starting a new topic rather than adding to this one.

 

Less body parts in your shots might be a good idea too:laughing:

Afraid this is a decorative wallhanger. Maybe $20 worth.
Have my doubts it was actually made in Japan either, but it's purely for decoration.
