Surrender Sword

Just came home after picking this surrender sword up .

The sword is totally untouched and comes in a leather covered wood sayer with a Surrender label attached

Named to a Major RE Summers the leather cover is showing some distress 

With the sword is a old copy of the service papers to 2nd Lieutenant RE Summers of the Glouchtshire Regiment..

I am not sure on the maker of the sword

Looking at the tang I Think it might be a Mantetsu sword ..

Hope Bruce can confirm ..?

Nice! A 19th series commercial Mantetsu.  It is the lowest reported serial number for this series.  The highest is ツ 六五一 [TSU 651].

ツ 二九 = TSU 29.

昭和辛巳春 = 1941 Spring.

興亜一心　満鐵作之 = South Manchuria Railway Company (SMR) made this.
