Would appreciate your expertise please

My father returned from WW2 with a katana that was collected on Okinawa.  I have inherited it and would like to find out as much as possible about it.  I am including pictures of the tang and the inscription on it.  Any further pictures you would like or need I would be happy to include.  Thank you in advance for the help.

Hi Randy,

Obviously no further pics are needed for translation but, like others, I would be interested to see a couple of pics of the blade, tsuka and mounts.  If you have time.

Anyone recognize the floral image on the menugi?  It's not sakura.  So maybe this was a civilian purchase, re-fitted for the war?

From here it looks like Maru ni Sasa-lindo.

In the Edo Period it was used by the Ishikawa Lords of Kameyama Castle in Isé, (tracing their roots back to Genji).
