Blade with interesting hada and hamon.

At the last Indiana Token Kai meeting, I brought a 19" nagasa suriage wakizashi that has a partial signature which I will mention later after some people have had a say about this piece. I don't wish to be so presumptuous as to call this a kantei exercise since I am not an authority on the veracity of the mei this blade purports. However, there is a lot of detail even in its degraded state and it got the attention of my fellow ITK members. So I am posting some of the pictures we took at the meeting and some of the ones I have taken. I'll post the ITK pictures as links but I can embed them, but by resizing, it will lose a lot of the detail we captured. The blade only has a two-piece habaki in which most of the gold has worn off.

I would be very appreciative to hear what you all have to say of it.

I don't see the details that well, but I personally like it. Definitely something Yamato-Soshu influenced. I suspect however it might be along the lines of Muromachi Uda. It does look a bit coarse.

Would this be considered predominantly masame with bits of mokume in the mix?

There's a lot of kinsuji and chikei present that my ITK group had noted. I'll share the mei later today to give people some more time since I had posted so late last evening.
