Katana signature translation

[Katana tang translation]

I would really appreciate some help translating the signature on my Katana blade.  I did have a Portland sword expert look at it and while the sword was retrieved from a WWII battlefield, he said the blade was much older and repurposed for a naval vessel (wired scabbard and a shortened tang for life on board ship.  the text is very hard to make out.  thanks
