Joe Choi Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 For the first time I'm seeing hada on SEKI stamped sword. Did Kanefusa made them at least half traditional? Just got this sword from a board member, discussed in "Minotagawa Naval Swords" I thought that SHOWA STAMPED blades are sometimes traditionally made, and SEKI is always machine made. Does anyone else have a Kanefusa that could confirm this? Quote
SwordGuyJoe Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Not to spark up a debate about something, but never say never - or always for that mater. First, a seki stamp does not always mean a machine made blade. There is a good chance you have a showa-to blade, but you may have gendaito. Although it is difficult to tell from the single photo (for me anyway). Let the disagreements begin! Also, if you have more pics, I would love to see them. Quote
