These 2 are also the only Saka stamps I have on file on the face of the nakago.  All others are on the mune.  I'll have to double check, though, to confirm that.

Update:

All 1944 blades that I have photos for (5 of eight) have the large Saka stamp on the nakago face.  The only 2 dated blades I have with the Saka + number on the mune are both in 1943, a Sadakatsu and a Zuiho.  All 8 Nagamitsu blades with the Saka + number on the mune are undated

There are no stamped numbers anywhere.

Thanks Chris.  This dōjō made swords for private purchase such as yours and also made Type 100 blades for the Ōsaka Arsenal.  The Ōsaka Arsenal serialized the contract blades on the nakago mune.  I think this numbering is by smith or company and not by location/prefecture.  However, at the end of the day, my opinion means little more than anyone else's, so take it with a grain of salt.  Thanks for sharing your sword with the rest of us.
