Tanto info, shinogi zukuri, boys sword?

Greetings to you all, any info would be helpful. It is my current understanding that tanto do not come in this shape normally. Please help my information knowledge ball grow

how long is the blade, measured from the MUNEMACHI (rear notch) to the KISSAKI (tip)? If more than 303 mm it will be called WAKIZASHI.

The length is 266.7mm or 10 1/2”

So if is was not made from a broken long sword, it is a genuine SHINOGI ZUKURI TANTO. I don't think it was ever intended as a boys' sword.

I would like to see how it was mounted, personal opinion... a blade was O-suriage until it was an unusable stub, and otherwise went into the armoury as an Okashi-To aka Satsuma blade. I have one just like it.
