Fritz Posted June 11, 2022 Report Posted June 11, 2022 Gentlemen, been quite some time since I’ve been here or posted, but nihonto is not my main focus and frankly, Japanese swords don’t cross my path to often but I was able to secure this one a few weeks ago, had the tang translated and identified on a militaria site I frequent, my question for the collectors that know swords is this sword worth a possible Polish or leave as is. I’ll be honest, in the long rung I’m going to move it but I just don’t have the knowledge of good, hohum or wow with these. Thanks! Quote
Brian Posted June 12, 2022 Report Posted June 12, 2022 It's in good enough condition as it. A polish would lose you money. Leave it as is. Just stabilize that rust with oil. 1 Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted June 12, 2022 Report Posted June 12, 2022 A very good smith and quite highly rated. A search here will show some information and work by him. 1 Quote
Bruce Pennington Posted June 12, 2022 Report Posted June 12, 2022 @Fritz - I have several of his blades on file with a variety of stamps, including the RJT star. Any stamps on this one? Quote
