Thierry BERNARD Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 I have this tsuba representing two samurai, one of them carrying a basket with a baby. I did not find the story it illustrates. Can anyone help with some Info?? Thanks Quote
SSt Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 Hi Thierry I believe the infant is HONDA-WAKE-no-MIKOTO, who would become Emperor OJIN Tenno and has the posthumous title of "HACHIMAN the God of War" the man holding the infant is TAKESHIUCHI-no-SUKUNE, who was a minister to JINGO KOGO, the female archer (and infants mother) in the background.
