I used to be an English teacher so please forgive this post. 

1. I have few kogatana = I do not have many kogatana. (Negative meaning, like "I have few friends" = I am a sad individual)

2. I have a few kogatana = I have some kogatana (Positive meaning, like "I have a few friends who might be interested in a.b,c", etc.)

 

So, I have a few kogatana sounds more relaxed and natural, slightly humble.
