Toryu2020 Posted April 11, 2022 Report Posted April 11, 2022 Each year in April we do a public display of swords and fittings drawn from our personal collections. This year was a great display and we enjoyed a huge turnout by the public. If y'all are ever in San Francisco in the Springtime please join us. -tch nccbf.org 4 1 Quote
Baba Yaga Posted April 11, 2022 Report Posted April 11, 2022 Fred W. had a display in a entire room by himself. If I remember right he had 3 generation of multiple smiths. Largest private collection I've seen outside of Japan. And Japans weren't private. I'd didn't even know it was there until Russel A. told me about it. Now that I'm thinking back, it could of been private. I took photos , but that was a few computers back. Quote
Toryu2020 Posted April 12, 2022 Author Report Posted April 12, 2022 Fred always has two or three tables at the CBF and back in the day even Russ put some stuff out... -t Quote
Kiipu Posted April 12, 2022 Report Posted April 12, 2022 Enjoyed seeing the picture of the shipping box located behind the naval sword. While some were carried aboard ship by the returning servicemen, many more arrived stateside via the mail. Thanks for sharing your photo-essay. 1 Quote
