Markus Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 This time, I am in need of the reading for a signature on a painting in the possession of a friend of mine. The actual painting shows a kabuto and dates probably back to the Meiji or Taisho period. The last three should read: yo-kakushi (予畫し), whereas "kaku" (畫) is the old character for (画). I´d be much obliged if someone is able to decipher the first two characters or in wider sense, the artist. Thanks alot in advance. Quote
Nobody Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 The last character could be 之 (kore). The left part of the 2nd character looks 票 to me (such as 飄, 瓢, ...). Quote
