Luc T Posted February 1, 2022 Report Posted February 1, 2022 Hello Robert, two interesting hachi you have there. do you have better pictures? The mei is blurry. the second one is a Nagasone style nanban kabuto, strong Chinese influence 1 Quote

uwe Posted February 1, 2022 Report Posted February 1, 2022 Hello Robert! What one can see at first glance is, “?明珎作?” (?Myōchin saku?). Last character might be “之”. So without the first kanji it could read “?Myōchin kore wo tsukuru”. Which means “Myōchin made this”. All depends, however, of what is written above! Could be “上” or something like that, but I’m not sure yet… 1 1 Quote
vrana Posted February 1, 2022 Author Report Posted February 1, 2022 Thanks Uwe, but that`s whole mei there`s nothing above. Quote
Luc T Posted February 1, 2022 Report Posted February 1, 2022 I think we have to deal with an Ichiguchi kabuto (the koboshi). Robert, do you have a front view? Quote
vrana Posted February 1, 2022 Author Report Posted February 1, 2022 in the same box was very rusty hineno sikhoro (partly covered with some black paint) with one surviving fukigaeshi with gillted Naito clan kamon. Could have belonged to both bachi Quote
