Sumuzu Posted January 31, 2022 Report Posted January 31, 2022 Any ideas why the seller take it down? I am happy for him if he sold the katana, but I am real sad that he took it down. I like to reference the pictures because it has the the hamon that I really like. Sort of sad that I miss the opportunity too. Quote
Ray Singer Posted January 31, 2022 Report Posted January 31, 2022 In terms of a reference example for the Enomoto family's work in the Gassan-den, see below. http://www.sanmei.com/contents/media/S69536_T5589_PUP_E.htm 1 Quote
Sumuzu Posted January 31, 2022 Author Report Posted January 31, 2022 Kind of want to commission a tanto for my family. I bet that would cost me a lot. Are we talking about $10k for a tanto? Quote
Ray Singer Posted January 31, 2022 Report Posted January 31, 2022 Unknown what it would have cost, but Sadayoshi and his son (Tatsuyoshi / Sadayoshi) passed away. Perhaps someone would be able to approach Enomoto Sadahito with a commission request but I have never seen Sadahito's work in the Gassan tradition. Quote
